Musicosis Studio

Doc Stewart has been working in, designing and installing studios for decades, including operating from and running one of London’s most legendary studios, “Tin Pan Alley” in Denmark Street.  He also designed, installed and ran the studio in the world famous Rainbow Theatre.  He has taken this expertise, love of vintage pro audio and an ability to embrace modern technology and use this in the construction of his new studio in Somerset.  To this end, he has a studio that uses both analogue mixing desks and digital recording.  He has a number of DAW applications available and a Tascam Model 16 combined analogue desk and digital recorder.

All this is enhanced by a Focusrite Clarett digital interface.  There is also an eclectic mix of monitors available with everything from classic Lockwood Audio/Tannoy through to modern Tannoy systems, Genelec, BBC LS3/5As and even a Century Retro Alexa unit as a “Grot Box”.  There is also a fairly extensive outboard FX rack containing both vintage equipment and modern clones of vintage classics.  We also have an extensive inventory of microphones ranging from vintage classics to modern classics (see the list below).
